Finding Your Business Opportunity

Breaking into the business world can be difficult, as well as stressful.  There’s nothing more frustrating than having your business dream ready to become a reality, but running into closed doors.  Don’t wait for the opening, go and get it! 
Figure out what it is exactly that is keeping you from becoming the business you want.  Are you lacking employees?  Do you need space to work in?  Is there uncommon equipment involved?  Once you know exactly what is holding you back, you can work to fix these things.  Find out where you can get the solutions so you have an exact game plan.

Make connections with other business people in your area.  Let them know that you exist, and start networking.  If you can help them out in one instance, they can do the same for you later.  Once you get “inside the circle,” you can see openings from the business side, rather than from strictly a customer’s standpoint.  Having a view from the corporate side is very valuable, because you will be able to anticipate fluctuations in the market, as well as distributor prices, etc.

Once you know what you need, be as proactive as possible.  If someone can help you, let them know your name.  In turn, make sure that they know what you can do in return.  If the problem is workspace, let the local realtors know you’re looking.  If you’re looking for employees, post fliers or ads. 

If you know what it is that you need, create a viable network, and become as proactive as you can, your business opening is just around the corner!  Keep in mind that business is stressful and tiring.  Don’t allow yourself to be bogged down by your dreams.  If they just make you grumpy and depressed, then maybe you should rethink your dreams!
