Finding this information out before you commit to anything, can save you not only time and money, but something much more valuable, embarrassment. Even if you have to ask the company for references, you should do so.
A work at home job should not be like a regular job that you commute to. You should be able to do something that you enjoy from the privacy and comfort of your own home, when it is convenient for you. While some companies do require people to work a set schedule, you often have the opportunity to choose that schedule yourself. Keep in mind, that if it sounds too good to be true, well, more than likely, it is. There is not a company in the world that will give you the kind of wealth that is being portrayed in commercials without either a substantial time or monetary investment. There are legitimate business opportunities out there. You just have to do the research to find a legitimate one, and do some serious thinking as to what you want to do with your time while you are making this money. Even if the opportunity is legitimate, and you are not satisfied with it, you still lose.
