Try to imagine what it would be like not to start your day with a blaring alarm and a stressful rush out the door to battle traffic, worrying about being late the whole time. With a home business this scenario would be wake up naturally, wash your face and make coffee, have a nice leisurely breakfast and then turn your PC on. You are ready to work.
You can even turn that around if you have something else you want to do before starting your work. With a home business you can choose the hours you will work. As long as you treat your business seriously and do the work at some point, you can look at it as a 24-hour clock. Work a few hours in the morning, a few in the afternoon, a few at night. Or work real hard for 4 days and then take 3 days off. It’s up to you.
Which brings up another good point about having your own home business. You are the boss. You are in control of how many hours you work and much money you make. You are also in control of how much you can do – in other words you are not restricted by a job title with specific duties. You are likely capable of doing so much more than you do in your job, and if not, you can certainly learn. Give yourself a promotion.
Speaking of money. When you agreed to take your job at a specific salary, and be locked into the company’s policy of ‘merit increase’ and ‘cost of living’ percentage increases at your annual performance evaluation it seemed at least adequate, right?
Well things have changed. The company may have even suspended giving ‘raises’ as a cost-cutting measure and you accept that because the alternative would be no job and no income. Prices and taxes are skyrocketing and it’s a good bet that they are rising much faster than what they consider the ‘cost of living’ is rising.
If you start a home business part-time you can earn that extra money it would take to have savings, pay off your debts and eliminate the interest, or just keep it all in your pocket and feel free to enjoy yourself every now and then.
