How to Find the Best Affiliate Marketing Program

There are hundreds of programs online and when choosing what is the best affiliate marketing program you need to consider a few points starting from the sign-up process and including the support. Let’s start from the beginning.

Read the policies and terms of service thoroughly right off the bat.  If there is a guarantee or refund policy, be sure you understand exactly what the terms are, because you need to be within the parameters in order to qualify.  A company is within their legal right to refuse to refund if for example it says ‘full refund for 7 days’ and you are requesting a refund on day 8 or 9. 

It is a good idea to join a program that has a free level so that you can see what resources are available to you, how the program works, the compensation plan, support, etc., before you commit your money. There should be no contracts – in other words month-to-month, once you do upgrade and pay a membership fee.

Test the support functions to see that people will respond if you have a legitimate problem.  Of course check the FAQ (frequently asked questions) and any help documentation that is provided first to see if you can answer your own question. If you do write, be polite and specific about your issue so that someone can answer your question.

A reasonable amount of time to receive a response is 24-72 hours maximum.  Keep in mind that if email is involved at any level – either sending or receiving – that things can go wrong that are beyond anyone’s control – and you need to give the company the benefit of the doubt – that means send it again as they may not have received your email or you may not have received the response.

The best affiliate marketing program will ideally provide training in Internet marketing to some degree or at least a list of resources that you can use to promote your business.  They will almost always give you a free web page and affiliate URL to use in your advertising and handle your sales transactions.  Beyond that, the more they can provide to help you the better it speaks for the quality of the program.
