The number varies depending on the number of words used in an article.

An effective article must have a keyword density that is not too high or too low.  With a very high density, the essence of the article is lost and may turn off a reader as well as the search engines.  Likewise, a low number may be ignored by the search engines.  The guide that I use is for each keyword or phrase to total 1% to 2% of the total words in the article.

(3)    Good Article Content

Articles must be regarded as good reading materials and offer valuable information for the reader.  Make sure you proofread and spell check the article.  Poor spelling and grammar lead the reader to believe that you may not be someone they can trust for information.   If you want people to trust you, make it evident that you have put lots of effort into the writing of the article.

(4)    Linking Articles to Your Website

When submitting articles to ezines and/or contributing your articles to newsletters and other sites, ALWAYS include a link to your website.   A resource box with a brief description of you and your site should always be placed right after your articles that you have submitted.   If readers like your articles, they will most likely click on the link directing them to your site.
